2025 GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship
GSUSA will award a $5K GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship to one Gold Award Girl Scout per council.
Application Period: March 14 – April 15, 2025
Eligibility: Gold Award Girl Scouts who are high school seniors or recent high school graduates can apply for the 2025 program. Specifically:
*current high school seniors who earned or will earn any time before April 1, 2025
*recent high school graduates who earned in their senior year after March 31, 2024

Change the world, Girl Scout
Gold Award Girl Scouts are rock stars, role models, and real-life heroes. How do they do it? By using everything they’ve learned as a Girl Scout to solve a problem in their community or make a lasting change in their world.
Seniors and Ambassadors who want to go for the Gold Award build a team of trusted adults, peers, and leaders in their community to guide them through challenges and support their success.
Plus, nothing beats that feeling of seeing real, lasting, and sustainable change and knowing it was you who made it happen. It changes the way you see your place in the world—and how the world sees you.
You can become a Gold Award Girl Scout if you:

Are in ninth, tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grade
-
Are a registered Senior or Ambassador
-
Have completed two Senior or Ambassador Journeys, or have earned the Girl Scout Silver Award and completed one Senior or Ambassador Journey
The Gold Award and Inclusion
Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania (GSEP) is committed to ensuring that all youth members, regardless of ability, have the opportunity to achieve the Gold Award—Girl Scouts’ highest honor.
When a Girl Scout requests accommodations, GSEP staff will work with the family to understand the specific needs and determine reasonable accommodations. The Council will then communicate directly with the Gold Award Committee to share these accommodations and ensure committee members feel prepared to support the Girl Scout effectively.
Our goal is to treat every Girl Scout with the attention, respect, and support they deserve as they pursue the Gold Award.
Getting Started 
- Complete the pre-requisites (see above).
- Complete a required Gold Award training. We offer a couple ways to meet the needs of our busy Girl Scouts.
- Recorded Training (Click here) Once you have registered, keep an eye on your inbox and check your spam. The training will be accessible on the Girl Scout’s myGS account. Please note, the link does not automatically send and can take 3-5 days to reach your inbox. Girl Scouts will have 24 hours to access the training once the link is sent.
- Gold Award Workshop (Register Here) GSEP is offering several in-person sessions over the fall and winter this year. You can check out the dates in Spark magazine, and registration is available on our gsEvents webpage.
