Girls in grades 8-11 who will be at least 14 years old as of May 2, 2026, are encouraged to apply!
Applications are due at 11:59pm on January 22, 2026 and require at least one adult recommendation (two for Girl Advisory position)
Girl Advisors hold seats at the table during meetings of the Board of Directors, where they provide girl insight and perspective on important matters. Girl Advisors attend five Board Meetings per year, which last approximately two hours in the evening. Girl Delegates weigh-in on important issues at the three Delegate Meetings and vote at GSEP’s Annual Meeting.
Plus, all girls in GS governance earn a pin for their vest or sash, get multiple opportunities to network with volunteers and Board Members, and receive hands-on experience practicing parliamentary procedure and public speaking. Additionally, Girl Governance positions look great on college and scholarship applications or a resume.
Optional virtual Help Sessions are offered again by the Girl Governance Subcommittee, to assist girls with any questions about the application. The sessions will be held on:
Date/Time: February 10, 2026 from 7-8:30pm
Location: Virtual via Zoom
We are postponing the Winter Delegate Council Meeting due to GSUSA’s updated timeline of when they will share the agenda for the 2026 National Council Session (NCS).
The focus for the Winter DC Meeting will be the proposals and discussion topics chosen by the National Board to be discussed and voted on at the 2026 NCS.
All Service Unit Delegates, SU Alternate Delegates, Girl Delegates, Girl Advisors, Board Members, BDC Members, and any interested members are encourage to join.
