Camp Shelly Ridge
Founded in 1963, Camp Shelly Ridge is located just outside of Philadelphia in Lafayette Hill, right next to Chestnut Hill, Manayunk, and Roxborough. Shelly Ridge is also home to Council headquarters for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. Just up the hill from the office you will find a camping getaway that provides opportunities for so many outdoor experiences for girls entering 1st through 12th grade.
What Makes Shelly Ridge Special:
Camp Shelly Ridge is the perfect introduction to camp, whether you are staying for the day or a whole week! First -time overnight campers can enjoy the lodge with indoor sleeping accommodations (some may say it's glamping!).
Shelly Ridge is also known for its Theme Weeks in which campers and staff dress up and complete themed activities. There are also many hiking trails, day use pavilions, and of course the Shelly Ridge Pool!
Swimming, Archery, Hiking, Climbing Wall & Bouldering
Arts & Crafts, Gaga, Low Ropes, Outdoor Cooking, and more!
Day and Overnight camp utilizes Shawnee Lodge, Smith Lodge, Daisy's Place Activity Center, Swimming Pool, and the Art Barn for all camp activities. Campers also can visit Shelly Ridge HQ to shop at the Trading Post.
Campers who opt to do a Day Camp Sleepover during the week stay in Shawnee Lodge.
For Overnight Campers, campers stay in either Shawnee Lodge (indoor lodge) or Platform Tents. Platform tents house four campers and lodge rooms house 12 campers with staff in adjacent tents and/or rooms. Sleeping units are assigned the week prior, unless otherwise noted in the camp description when registering.
Camp Shelly Ridge is also home to the Health Center, Ranger House, and Shelly Ridge Headquarters.
