Camp Laughing Waters
Founded in 1958, Camp Laughing Waters is located in the center of GSEP's nine counties, in Gilbertsville (Montgomery County)!
During the summer, Camp Laughing Waters provides summer camp for campers entering grades 1-12. With over 400 acres to explore, there's trails and activities for all! In addition to nature trails, campers can explore the creek, visit the horse barn, and enjoy a variety of high adventure activities.
What Makes Laughing Waters Special:
Camp Laughing Waters is GSEP's largest camp! It's also known for amazing horse programs all summer long. Laughing Waters also has Swamp Creek running through, which campers can explore.
With Cabins and Platform tents, campers can experience two different sleeping styles at camp. With a large pool, low and high-ropes courses, rock climbing, and a 9-hole Disc Golf course, campers have access to the best of traditional camp activities!
Campers live in platform tents with three other campers or cabins with the entire group in one large room. Each program has a designation of tents or cabins at registration (also noted in the Camp Guide.) All accommodations have beds and mattresses.
There are 17 camping sites including cabins with showers and flush toilets, and platform tent sites, each with an open pavilion wash-house with flush toilets. Laughing Waters also has a large dining hall and commercial kitchen.
Camp Laughing Waters also includes:
Ginder Barn for arts and crafts, Swimming Pool with shower house, All Camp Campfire Circle, Murphy House which houses the summer office, Health Center, and beautiful air-conditioned Youghiogheny Activity Center
We have year-round staff and a sesonal camp director dedicated to making Camp great! Meet them below.
