GSUSA’s troop and girl grade up database process happens every August 1st in anticipation of the new membership year starting on October 1st. For troops, the membership year advances to next year, troops with single grades or consecutive grades will increase by 1. For example, if it's a 1st grade troop this year, the grade will advance to 2nd grade for next year. If it's a 2nd and 3rd grade troop this year, the grades will advance to 3rd and 4th grades for next year. The Program Grade Level (PGL) may also change automatically depending on the new grade criteria.
