Approval Request for Private Home Troop Meetings

Fill out the form below to request approval from the council to hold regular Girl Scout meetings at a private residence.  You must submit this form and be approved annually in order to hold meetings in private residences/homes. Please note that while holding a regular troop meeting at a private home is permitted, it is not recommended.

By checking the below, you are confirming that the following requirements are met at this location:

  • Firearms/weapons are locked, secured, out of sight and inaccessible
  • There are no registered sex offenders residing at this address
  • Animals/pets are kept in a place separate from the meeting space
  • Medications, cleaning products, and any poisonous substances must be stored in secured spaces, out of sight and preferably locked.
  • All Girl Scout adult supervision rules will be followed in this home including supervision/ratio expectations and no use of alcohol, illegal drugs, smoking/vaping, using foul language, breaking laws by anyone in the residence.

Is there a pool at the home?

If yes, is the pool locked and inaccessible? Please note: it's not permitted for Girl Scouts to swim in a private pool without submitting a Certificate of Insurance, having an appropriate number of lifeguards on site, and receiving approval from the council.
Is there an outdoor trampoline at the home? Please note: Girl Scouts are not permitted to use a outdoor home trampoline at a Girl Scout event/Troop meeting.
