Want to become a media and public speaking rockstar?
Apply to be a GSEP Media Girl for the 2026-2027 Membership Year. This exciting program funs from October to June and provides Girl Scouts with the opportunity to explore the evolving media environment, have hands-on experiences developing communication skills, and create engaging content for the GSEP membership.
What Media Girls Do
Media Girls help tell the Girl Scout story across by:
- Interviewing with media on TV, radio, and/or print
- Creating video content for GSEP's social media channels
- Receiving hands-on media training
- Developing public speaking and content creation skills
- Participating in exciting Girl Scout events
Requirements
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, all interested Girl Scouts must:
- Be a registered Girl Scout for the current membership year
- Attend bi-monthly virtual team meetings/trainings
- Attend at least one of four in-person content creation days
- Submit at least three pieces of content throughout the year
