Across the council, Girl Scouts will be participating in activities to celebrate, learn about, and have fun in State Parks.
Girl Scouts are invited to join the park naturalist for a morning of birding. We will begin with a lesson on the use of binoculars and some basic bird ID, then take a 1-mile walk to test out our skills! Using our eyes and ears, we will look and listen for birds in both forest and lake habitats.
**Registration is required--please register all scouts and accompanying adults. All scouts must be accompanied by an adult.**
A limited number of binoculars and monoculars will be available to borrow, or bring your own! Sturdy hiking boots or shoes are required. The hike will traverse both paved and unpaved trails, and we may encounter mud, roots, and rocks.
