Summary: The GSEP Service Unit Treasurer (SUT) manages and maintains all aspects of Service Unit finances.
Term of appointment: Renewable each membership year (October 1-September 30)
Required Training: Service Unit Finance Training and Troop Finance Training, located in gsLearn
Supervision: Reports to the Service Unit Manager

I understand my responsibilities are:
- Maintain Service Unit bank account and pay Service Unit bills, as needed. Report on the status at Service Unit meetings.
- Serve as Service Unit signer on troop bank accounts and make sure signers on troop accounts are current/accurate.
- Collaborate with the Service Unit Event Coordinator(s) and/or other volunteers to collect payments for all Service Unit events.
- Collaborate with the Service Unit Cookie Manager to ensure accurate records in Service Unit accounts.
- Report concerns of financial irregularities with troop or Service Unit accounts to Service Unit Manager and serve as the primary contact supporting financial audits.
- Review, sign, and date annual Troop Financial Reports (TFRs) in Adobe Enterprise Sign by June 30 and, when requested, alert GSEP to any that are missing/have extenuating circumstances.
- Complete, sign, date, and submit annual Service Unit Financial Report (SUFR) in Adobe Enterprise Sign by July 31.
- Retain copy of Financial Report (TFRs and SUFRs) records for a period of five (5) years. If a Service Unit Treasurer is not renewing the role, all financial records kept with the current Service Unit Treasurer should be transferred to the new Service Unit Treasurer. If a new Service Unit Treasurer has not yet been appointed, the non-renewing Service Unit Treasurer must submit financial records to the Service Unit Manager.
- Assist Troop Leaders in opening, transferring, and closing troop bank accounts per GSEP Volunteer Essentials.
- Support Troop Leaders on troop finance policies and procedures, including the proper spending of troop funds versus making personal purchases and reimbursements.

I am an approved volunteer with a current Girl Scouts of the USA membership and GSEP background check on file.
