Summary: The Service Unit School/Site Recruitment Coordinator
works in partnership with service unit team members and GSEP staff to
create and implement plans and tactics that support the recruitment of
girls and adults, and connects them to Girl Scouts, within an assigned area.
Term of appointment: One year, renewable
Required Training: Recruitment training located in gsLearn
Supervision: This position reports to the Service Unit Manager
Girl Scout Values

maintain current knowledge of the Girl Scout National Program
Portfolio, Volunteer Essentials, Safety Activity Checkpoints, and
GSEP Volunteer Policies.

community to answer questions and connect with new volunteers in a
positive and uplifting manner.

respectful, prompt, and effective manner to peers and girls and
maintain confidentiality where necessary.

I understand my responsibilities are:
- Assist GSEP staff in engaging girls in the Girl Scout
Leadership Experience ast a specific school or location by creating
troops for each grade level, creating multi-grade level troops and
supporting girls and adults with the process of joining troops in
their area
- Work in collaboration with GSEP staff, and
service unit team members to implement community and school focused
strategies and events for recruiting, engaging, and retaining girls
and adult volunteers at local schools and organizations.
- Stay up-to-date on school, community and service unit calendars
to help to coordinate dates for school and community recruitment
events
- Develop and maintain relationships (act as the GSEP
representative) with local community-based organizations and the
school district to promote and bring awareness of the Girl Scout
Leadership Experience
- Ensure that troop leaders are
connected to the local service unit
- REcruit and coordinate
volunteers to help with school and community recruitment events
- Request flyers and supplies as necessary to facilitate and
promote recruitement events using the online materials request
form
- Be familiar with and promote seasonal recruitment
campaigns which include reaching 90% of the membership goals by
December 31st and being aware of the Spring Registration goal for
their individual service unit
- Attend service unit/service
unit team meetings
- Follow all safety guidelines as outlined
in Safety Activity Checkpoints and Volunteer Essentials for any
activity with girls

Volunteer Agreement:
I agree to meet the qualifications and fulfill the duties,
expectations and requirements as outlined above.
I agree to opt-in to emails and text messages from GSEP and GSUSA.
I agree to adhere to GSUSA guidelines involving the Girl Scouts
brand, copyright and trademark laws.
I am an approved volunteer with a current Girl Scouts of the USA
membership and GSEP background check on file (if over 18).
