Summary: The Service Unit Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and implementation of events for the girls and volunteers within the service unit.
Term of appointment: One year, renewable
Required Training: GSEP Service Unit Event Management, available through gsLearn
Supervision: This position reports to the Service Unit Manager
Girl Scout Values

I understand my responsibilities are:
- I will be responsible for all aspects of event management
- I will determine the purpose and value of the event
- I will recruit volunteers/committees for planning and adequate supervision of the event
- I will promote events through flyers, social media, etc. in collaboration with the Service Unit Team.
- I will locate and secure sites for events and obtain necessary Certificates of Insurance and/or additional insurance
- I will identify and obtain all necessary resources for event activities
- I will utilize community resources and contacts to enhance events
- I will work with the Service Unit Treasureer to manage event revenue and expenses using Service Unit accounts
- I will provide girls the opportunity to gain leadership and decision-making skills by including them in the planning, implementation,a nd evaluation of service unit events
- I will attend service unit/service unit team meetings, as needed

Volunteer Agreement:
I agree to meet the qualifications and fulfill the duties, expectations and requirements as outlined above.
I agree to opt-in to emails and text messages from GSEP and GSUSA.
I agree to adhere to GSUSA guidelines involving the Girl Scouts brand, copyright and trademark laws.
I am an approved volunteer with a current Girl Scouts of the USA membership and GSEP background check on file (if over 18).
