What is Girl Scouts at Home?

Girl Scouts at Home brings the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to the girl. Through this program girls can attend virtual badge workshops to complete steps towards earning badges, come together in informal gatherings and connect with sister Girl Scouts through virtual weekend programs.

Beyond the girls, Girl Scouts at Home is also a resource for volunteers, parents, and guardians alike, offering chances for volunteers to complete training virtually or connect with other volunteers to exchange ideas and advice. Girl Scouts at Home also offers parents a place to find safe and fun activities for their children that they can do outdoors or in the comfort of their own home.

Social & Emotional Resources
Social & Emotional Resources

During these uncertain times it's important that we help our girls navigate their emotions and mental health. Girl Scouts of the United States of America has been keeping girls in mind through every step of this crisis. If you're interested in learning more about how you can talk to your girl about COVID-19, make sure she's happy and healthy, and maintain her hope for the future, check out some selected resources below. Then, take a look through the rest of the  Raising Girls section to see if there's anything else to help guide you and your family through this time.

Service & Awards
Service & Awards

Practicing social distancing doesn't mean you can't still complete community service work, in fact, now more than ever our communities need us to come together emotionally and virtually to stay connected and help those in need. This section includes service projects and ideas that girls can complete from home based on their grade level to help their community and also earn their service awards and pins.

For more infomration on Highest Awards and answers to Frequently Asked Questions, visit our Highest Awards page

Discounted Zoom Licences

Keeping the Girl Scout sisterhood strong from home?  We’ve got you!

Zoom Licenses are now available through our council for troops that want to meet or continue meeting virtually this fall.  Your girls can stay connected, continue building their skills, and have a blast no matter where they are.  These GSUSA sponsored Zoom licenses are available for $40.00 for 1 year.  In addition to the options available with free Zoom accounts, these licenses include: increased meeting capacity, breakout rooms, unlimited meeting time, and live tech support.  This offer is for our Troop Leaders and Service Unit Team volunteers.

To take advantage of this offer, just complete the registration (see link below).  Once completed, you will receive an automated confirmation email with a link to the GSUSA Zoom License User Agreement form.  You must complete and submit this form.  On the User Agreement form, it asks for your email address.  Please be sure to submit the email address you want the zoom account to be paired with--and double check your spelling!  When we receive your signed agreement, we will verify that you are an active Troop Leader of an active GSEP troop (or an active Service Unit team volunteer).

Licenses will be purchased from GSUSA and you will receive an email from no-reply@zoom.us asking you to Approve the Request to join GSEP's Zoom account.  This email will read "Girl Scouts of Eastern PA (aturing@gsep.org) has requested to add you into their Zoom account (Gscouncil253). If you agree, please click the button below to approve within 30 days."

Please allow 7-10 days for your Zoom login credential email to arrive.

Each Zoom license must be attached to a unique email address.  In compliance with the GSUSA Zoom license User Agreement, this license can only be used for Girl Scout purposes!  If you already have a free Zoom account, it will be automatically be upgraded to the GSUSA licensed account.  If you use a free zoom account for other purposes, THIS WOULD NOT BE A GOOD EMAIL ADDRESS TO USE FOR THIS GSUSA LICENSE AS YOU MUST COMPLY WITH THE TERMS OF THE USER AGREEMENT.  In that case, you should provide a different email address for the GSUSA account.
