Communications Manager
The Council is seeking a Communications Manager to develop high-quality copy for Council newsletters, brochures, flyers, fundraising literature, internal and external publications, marketing campaigns and generate content for electronic media. This individual will collaborate with the Creative Director to ensure quality and timeliness of materials and copy edit Council materials for style, punctuation, and appropriate branding. Responsibilities include development of internal relationships with key staff to develop story ideas that can become features in our publications or shared with Public Relations Director for release to the media. This individual will actively pursue a better understanding of GSEP and its mission as well as gaining a better understanding of the entire enterprise and the roles and drivers for each department. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field, an understanding of graphic design and an appreciation of the interplay between textual and visual elements, aptitude for quick creative thinking with attention to detail within demanding deadlines, and a portfolio of writing samples that demonstrates the qualities mentioned above. Data Entry Clerk
The Council is seeking an additional full-time data entry clerk who will be responsible for processing Criminal Background Checks for all Council volunteers, for completing the data entry processes for the Council, and upkeep and organization of files and filing. Qualifications include attention to detail, accurate word processing skills, and strong organizational abilities. Attention and discretion to sensitive information imperative. This position is located in Lafayette Hill, PA and reports to the Sr. Director of Administration. Development Associate for Database Management & Research
GSEP is seeking an experienced database manager for a three-month (with possibility for permanent role), full-time assignment with the Council's Development department. This individual will be responsible for: the design and implementation of strategies for the most efficient and effective use of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge (RE) software; high volume data input and systematic management of the RE Database; utilization of software to maintain and update donor and prospect records, identify and segment constituencies, manage moves, track donor relationships, design and manage queries, generate reports for data analysis and produce mailing lists; conduct donor research and produce donor information reports; perform word processing and other assignments in accordance with priorities and deadlines; provide service to staff and volunteers via telephone, fax and one on one, verifying and requesting information. Director of Adult Development
GSEP is seeking an experienced Adult Development Director to be accountable for the comprehensive design, delivery and evaluation of adult recruitment, development and training. This individual will be responsible for the development and implementation of adult education for Council volunteers, ensuring that contemporary, relevant training is delivered in a timely manner to all volunteers who work with girls and for the recruitment and supervision of Council volunteer trainers and instructors of trainers. This position will supervise the Adult Recruitment Manager, Training Managers and a Training Assistant. This individual will also manage the single point-of-entry process and will work in partnership with the volunteer Training Team to develop, monitor and evaluate training methods, instruments, and delivery systems. Human Resources Coordinator
GSEP is seeking a full-time Human Resources Coordinator to assist with the daily administrative operations of the HR/Legal department, and to provide ongoing support with various programs and projects. This individual will assist with the filing of benefits claims, draft correspondence and revise documents, manage calendars and appointments, run background checks, support special projects, provide internal and external customer service, and must maintain absolute confidentiality with regard to human resources and legal information. HS diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; proficiency with database management, Microsoft Word and Excel required. This individual will be exposed to a fast paced, high energy, fun environment that fosters creativity, growth and development. Member Services Representative (Valley Forge)
The Council is seeking a full time Member Services Representative based in the Valley Forge Service Center. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering essential information about Girl Scouting, managing the help desk for the service center, providing excellent customer service via telephone, e-mail, and face-to-face with walk-ins. Duties also include assisting volunteers, parents and staff with questions, concerns, and information, accepting girl placements via telephone, e-mail, and walk-ins, and assisting with membership data entry. Receptionist – Part Time (Shelly Ridge)
GSEP is seeking a part-time Receptionist to work Monday through Friday, 12:30-5:30pm. Registrar
GSEP is seeking an experienced data entry and customer service professional to join its Registration Department. Data entry proficiency and ability to access and utilize computer database programs and word processing required. Ability to type accurately at 50-55 wpm, high school diploma or equivalent and ability to work collaboratively with others required. Prior customer service experience a plus. This position will be located at Council headquarters in Lafayette Hill, PA and will report to the Registration Manager. Research Director
The Research Director is responsible for developing and implementing an evaluation and research system to assess the degree to which the Council is meeting its mission, and strategic, program, sales and management goals. This individual will work closely with the Council leadership to ensure that the evaluation and research system supports and informs all GSEP programs, services and activities. The evaluation and research findings, and the individual’s role in reporting and disseminating the findings, are expected to promote learning and support practice throughout the organization. This individual is also accountable for the design, management, implementation and outcomes measurement of innovative programs, including in-school programs, to extend and deliver Girl Scout program in targeted areas throughout the council service area. Retail Shop Associate – Part Time (Valley Forge)
GSEP is seeking an enthusiastic retail shop associate to work 20-25 hours per week in the Council’s Valley Forge Service Center retail shop. This individual is responsible for providing customer service to volunteers, girls, parents and visitors who utilize the services of the Council’s retail services. This individual is responsible for maintaining and operating Council resale operations, including balancing cash drawers, performing end-of-day duties, and maintaining ongoing and year-round inventory. Additional responsibilities include stocking merchandise, maintaining displays of merchandise in the shop and promoting the sale of Girl Scout retail merchandise. Vice President for Research & Leadership Development (Program)
The Council is seeking a Vice President for Research & Leadership Development to be responsible for conducting national best practice program and issue research and defining measurable outcomes consistent with the Girl Scouts’ mission and strategic priorities; and funding flexible delivery models. This role is also accountable for the design, management, supervision and implementation of innovative school year and summer camp programs to extend and deliver Girl Scout program in targeted areas throughout the council service area; and to support fundraising initiatives in the community and with families. In addition, this role is accountable for the outcomes measurement of innovative programs to extend and deliver Girl Scout program in targeted areas throughout the Council service area.
