Your donation, large or small, is important to us. A tax-deductible gift supports:

Maintenance of properties for camp and troop programs

Summer camp experiences at reasonable cost to families

We depend on charitable contributions to help offset the actual cost of serving one girl per year, which is an estimated $266, and keep programs, events, and leader training affordable. We also depend on gifts to provide financial assistance to girls.

Although the Girl Scout Program is volunteer-driven, there are many costs associated with it.

The $10 membership dues go directly to the national organization, GSUSA. It costs approximately $266 to serve one Girl Scout per year.

Individual Gifts

Regular annual gifts from individuals are an essential element in funding Girl Scouting. They allow the council to plan effectively and provide unrestricted dollars which can be used for volunteer training and support, recruitment efforts, program costs and financial assistance to girls.

Family Partnership

Family Partnership is an annual campaign to educate parents/guardians about Girl Scouting and ask for their financial support of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. It is our goal that every parent be given the opportunity to make a contribution.

Families who donate will receive the following appreciation gifts:

Any size – a GSEP static cling for your car, home, or office window to show pride in your Girl Scout.

$100-$265 – a unique GSEP ceramic tile

frame

$266 and above – a special GSEP picture frame inscribed with our mission statement
to showcase your Girl Scout.

Matching Gifts

Your employer may have a program to match contributions to not-for-profit organizations, and GSE may be eligible. Check with your personnel department for details. Many individuals and families increase their contributions each year through matching gifts.

Planned Gifts

Corporate Gifts

Many corporations and foundations provide grants to us to develop innovative programs and to help us achieve our goal of reaching "every girl, everywhere." The annual Take the Lead Awards and the Women of Distinction events are also ways that the corporate community supports Girl Scouting in this region.
