Congratulations Heather Fesmire
of Ambler Pennsylvania!

Heather's design (above) was chosen by GSEP staff as the winner of the GSEP Patch Contest. Her entry received 38 out of a possible 174 votes cast. Her design of our new Council Patch is now on sale in our shops!

The second runner up with 30 votes was Patty Sturz of Reading. Tied for third place were Anya Peascheck of Upper Darby and Makenzie Beltz of Abington. Twenty-one very creative finalists were chosen from hundreds of wonderful entries. Those finalists were published on the Council intranet so the entire staff could vote for their favorite. Thank you to all the entrants and voters for making our contest a success.

The Program Event Planner 2008-09

The Program Event Planner contains Council-sponsored events and registration information, and will be posted online quarterly. It is intended as a companion piece to the Program Resource Manual, which you will receive in late September.  Keep the Program Resource Manual all year long as a comprehensive reference. It will once again contain information about GSEP including our Program Partners' advertisements. But now, to help you plan exciting events and activities, you can look for new editions of the Event Planner online, every 3 months, with new and exciting seasonal and special things to do. We designed them separately in response to your need for a streamlined way of gleaning information from the myriad of events and programming opportunities. If you would like a printed version of the Event Planner, please email Sharon Pirelli at spirelli@gsep.org.

Girls attending can also learn about and register for Girl Scouts.

Program Partners
Another resource for programs and events is the Program Partners listing. Browse through the Program Partners listed in this PDF and sign up for events directly with our partners. Each of the Partners listed has a program description and contact information so that you can find a date that is suitable for your troop. Check back often because when we find new Program Partners or create new Council sponsored events we will add them to the listing.

Plan a Birthplace Heritage Visit
The Juliette Gordon Low Girl Scout National Center is located in downtown Savannah. It was the Gordon family home where Daisy Gordon (Juliette Magill Kinzie Gordon) was born on October 31, 1860. In 1965, it became Savannah’s first designated National Historic Landmark. The Birthplace is one of the most popular house museums in the United States and welcomed its two-millionth visitor in 2001. Throughout the year, Girl Scout troops have the opportunity to meet other troops from all over the country and share activities. Visitors always include a mixture of families, individuals, whole Girl Scout troops, alumnae Girl Scouts, and the touring public from all over the world! Find out more...
