Ready to Run Programs
Ready to Run program are programs designed and written for you to use with girls. We have included curriculum for girls and facilitator guides for you to use along with suggested timelines and list of materials needed. Some of the programs even have supplemental handouts for girls! So if you are looking for something to do with girls, other than sign up for one of the Programs in Spark, check out:
Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania has designed a Friendship Circle program for Daisies through Juniors. This is a great resource for leaders who need help bringing their troop together and creating a safe, fun environment for all the girls. Girls will get to know themselves and each other, build a team, learn about friendship while making new friends, and practice useful skills to resolve conflict.
Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania has designed a Daisy Jam program as an introduction to Girl Scouting for new Daisies. This is also a great resource for new Daisy Troop Leaders who need help getting started. This program could be used by Service Units over the summer or by Troop Leaders at the beginning of the year. Girls will learn about the various parts of the Girl Scout Law and how it plays a part in their daily lives. Additionally, girls will learn how to take care of their planet, help change the world around them, and then tell their own story to others through fun hands-on activities and projects incorporating activities from the Leadership Journeys.
Please note: This series does not replace the Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting or the Leadership Journeys.
In partnership with the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, Girl Scouts has developed three "healthy habits" booklets for volunteers to use in conjunction with the It’s Your Planet-Love It! Journey. The Healthy Habits booklets relate to the Journeys and encourage girls to lead active, healthy lifestyles.
These step by step leader guides promote fun, easy ways to achieve "energy balance" through
Energy In: the calories you get from eating and drinking.
Energy Out: the calories you burn from physical activities.
The History Committee is proud to be able to offer resource kits to Troops and Service Units for use during programs and special events. For more information on the types of kits available for borrowing and the borrowing procedures click here.

Science & Engineering Samplers
Do you and your girls want to explore and learn more about the fields of science and/or engineering? Would you like to promote the fields as career options for your girls? Are you looking for new activity ideas to use during troop meetings? Through fun, hands-on activities and experiments, the Science Sampler and Engineering Sampler programs expose girls to what is possible in the fields of science and engineering.
You don’t have to be a STEM expert to try science and engineering programs with your troops! These Ready-to-Run programs have all the instructions, supply lists and age-appropriate scientific explanations so you can have fun with the girls and introduce them to fields of interest where girls are underrepresented, and career opportunities abound!
