Join Girl Scouts

Are you interested in learning a sport, sampling the arts, preparing for a career, or pitching a tent? Do you dream of publishing stories online, traveling to exotic locales, or speaking on behalf of girls in your town? In Girl Scouting, you can do it all! Girls ages 5-17 can join as girl members. It's never too late to join in the fun.

A girl can be a Girl Scout in many different ways. She can:

Join a troop/group with a group of girls and a couple of adults in your area. If you would like information regarding troop placement for your daughter or a girl within your community, please fill out this online form.

Register individually and get regular updates by mail on council-wide events and opportunities. Girls wanting to join Girl Scouts, but who choose not to participate in a troop or group activities may register as an individual girl member.

Cadettes, 6th-8th; Seniors, 9th-10th Grade; Ambassadors, 11th-12th Grade

Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors participate in Girl Scouting in many ways. Under the guidance of a trained adult advisor, girls mix and match activities and resources to suit their needs while giving back to their communities. They connect with each other and build self-esteem and confidence in their skills as they work on a range of projects and gain life experiences. Click here to find out more.

Juniors, 4th-5th Grade

Girl Scout Juniors earn badges and discover what girl power is all about through new activities and by learning to take charge of their own plans. They gain self-confidence as they explore the world in partnership with their troop/group leaders. Click here to find out more.

Brownies, 2nd-3rd Grade

Girl Scouts Brownies work together in groups, earn Girl Scout Brownie Try-Its, and explore their community. Friendship, fun, and age-appropriate activities begin at the Girl Scout Brownie meeting and move out to the community and wider world. Click here to find out more.

Daisies, K-1st Grade

Girl Scout Daisies meet in groups of five to 10 with two or more adult leaders in a nurturing, inclusive environment. They go on trips, learn about nature and science, and explore the arts and their communities. Girl Scout Daisies can also earn Learning Petals and receive participation patches.
