The Gold Award

It recognizes girls in grades 9 through 12 who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through remarkable “Take Action” projects that have sustainable impact in their communities and beyond. Since 1916, girls have successfully answered the call to “Go Gold!” an action that indelibly marks them as accomplished members of their communities and the world.

Highest Award learning opportunities

Highest Awards Information Sessions are an opportunity for girls, parents, and leaders to learn the GSEP Highest Awards process and an overview of the steps involved in earning the Awards. The Take Action Leadership Workshops are an all-day, hands-on program for girls to practice the steps and develop project idea. GSEP Awards at-a-glance is a great tool to see the progression from Bronze to Gold.

Please note, Take Action Workshops and the Highest Award Information Sessions are not mandatory. Girls can begin working on the awards once they have completed their age level Journey.  All required information to earning the Awards is provided in the GSUSA Girl Guidelines and the GSEP Handbooks. Reading the Guidelines and completing the suggested activities will help girls develop a project. The GSEP Silver and Gold Award handbooks help girls understand the GSEP forms and process.

Information Sessions and Take Action Workshops are updated throughout the year. Go to our Online Registration System to see what is available. Search ‘Silver ‘or ‘Gold’ to register. Space is limited, all participants must register.  Don’t see one in your area? Leaders and Service Units can host a Highest Awards Information Session! Complete and submit this form to request one in your area.
