The Silver Award Packet
Go for the Silver! Download the Silver Award Guidelines from GSUSA and the GSEP Resource Manual to assist you in achieving this leadership milestone. All Silver Award Projects must be approved by the Silver Award Committee before a girl can begin the 50-hour Silver Award Take Action project. The deadline for current 8th graders to submit a Silver Award Project Proposal is May 1, 2013. The GSEP Silver Award Committee meets monthly to review project proposals and final reports. The Gold Award Packet
Go for the Gold! Download the Gold Award Guidelines from GSUSA and the GSEP Resource Manual to assist you in achieving this leadership milestone. All Gold Award Projects must be approved by the Gold Award Committee before a girl can begin the 80-hour Gold Award Take Action project. The deadline for current 12th graders to submit a Gold Award Project Proposal is May 1, 2013. The GSEP Gold Award Committee meets four times a month to review project proposals and final reports. Silver & Gold Award Take Action Workshops
Silver and Gold Awards Workshops: Under construction this summer
Exciting changes are coming to the Silver and Gold Award Workshops! Since we will be revising the trainings over the summer, workshops will not be offered during July and August. However, girls still can work on their awards. Emily Sowell, the Teen Leadership Program Manager, is available to work with girls via text message, email or phone. She is ready to brainstorm project ideas, explain the paperwork and awards process, and provide coaching so that girls can have a great awards experience! Stay tuned for summer office hours throughout the council when Emily will be available to meet with girls who want to discuss their projects.
The workshops will resume on Saturday, August 31, with our new format: Real Girls TAKE ACTION Workshop.
Recent Gold and Silver awardees will share how they used their vision to create social change through cool projects. Brainstorm with other Girls Scouts and community members throughout the region to dream up creative ways to make the world a better place! Location: To be announced.
