Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017! The first Girl Scout councils in our nine-county footprint was started in Philadelphia and Lehighton in 1917!

Another fun fact: Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low came to Philadelphia to visit of our first council in 1917. The troop met at Waterview Rec Center in Germantown.
