Join us at FringeArts for this fun installation, performance, and fashion show fit for all ages (Daisies through Ambassadors)! Fashion Machine is a live performance event by Theatre SKAM that features 28 local children and youth remaking select audience member’s outfits in under one hour. Following a week of training from SKAM artists, the kids circulate among the audience and select 7 lucky, brave patrons (among those wearing “I’m In” stickers – the less brave get chicken stickers) to be taken into the Fashion Machine. The audience hangs out, explores, and chats while the kids work. The event culminates in a short fashion show that reveals the 7 new outfits. Girl Scout Seniors can even get a jump start on their Troupe Performer badge! Register for the event here.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Raina Searles at raina@fringearts.com.

Dear Diary LOL
Friday, January 26 at 9:30pm
FringeArts Theater
140 N. Christopher Columbus Blvd.
Philadelphia, PA, 19106
$5 for Girls, Leaders, and Parents using code GSDIARY

Calling all Seniors and Ambassadors! Dear Diary LOL is a comedic theatre performance born verbatim from the real-life tween-teen diaries of middle school girls from the early 2000s, most of whom are in the show’s actual cast. The devising ensemble invites you to cringe, laugh, and cry at their most earnest desires, deepest fears, secret shames, and terrible poetry written as coming-of-age girls in the late 90s/early 2000s. The piece explodes its source diaries with moments of direct address, music, dance, and physical comedy, colliding the style of melodrama with the inherent humor found in the earnestness of young girlhood musings (with all the benefits of hindsight). Girl Scout Seniors can also get some inspiration to tell their own stories to earn their Troupe Performer badge! Register for this event here.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Raina Searles at raina@fringearts.com.
