ACH (Automated Clearing House)
What is ACH?
ACH stands for Automated Clearing House and refers to an electronic banking network often used for direct deposit and electronic bill payment. ACH is employed by many different institutions and is already in use by many Girl Scout councils around the country. Councils which have implemented ACH report that it has been well received.
2011-2012 ACH Pilot
Based on feedback from GSEP volunteers, the ACH Project Team is proceeding with a two-phase approach. Beginning October 1, 2011 and running through September 30, 2012 GSEP will begin phase one of the ACH pilot program with the intent to refine any operational or communications issues before proceeding with the second phase of a full implementation of ACH for the membership year of 2012-2013.
Specific Service Units were invited to participate in the pilot based on their location, prior Product Program participation, unit size and demographics to ensure that we have a representative pilot group.
