GSEP Program Credits (formerly Cookie Dough) are earned by participating in Fall Product Program or the Girl Scout Cookie Program. These credits can be used to offset the cost of Girl Scout related experiences such as GSEP shop purchases, travel, uniforms, Highest Award expenses and Camp and Program registration.
GSEP Program Credits are non-transferrable and can only be redeemed by the Girl Scout who earned them. Credits are valid through the membership year after the year they are earned. For example, GSEP Program Credits earned during the 2026 Cookie Program will expire on September 30, 2027.
GSEP Program Credits must be used before applying for financial aid.

Redemption FAQs
How do I find out how many credits my Girl Scout has earned?
GSEP sends an email in April to families with the number of credits earned from the Cookie Season. You can email memberservices@gsep.org anytime to request your balance.
Who can use Cookie Dough?
Cookie Dough can only be used by the Girl Scout who earned the credits and are not transferable nor can be redeemed for cash. Cookie Dough may be redeemed by the Girl Scout family or troop leader. For shop purchases, we just ask that the troop leader has the family’s permission first.

How long does it take to process my request?
Once you submit your request to use your credits, GSEP processes your credits within four weeks. If your request requires payment, our Finance Team will need an additional two weeks.
