Your donation, large or small, is important to us. Girls are worthy of our investment and your contribution to GSEP makes a powerful statement to the community. Your tax-deductible gift supports:
- Qualified, trained and informed leaders/mentors
- Program activities and events for girls
- Staff support for volunteers
- Maintenance of properties for camp and troop programs
- Financial assistance for life-changing summer camp experiences
We depend on charitable contributions to help offset the cost of serving our girls, and keep programs, events, and leader training affordable. We also depend on gifts to provide financial assistance to girls.
Did you know?
- Girl Scouts was ranked by Worth Magazine as one of the country's top 100 charities to invest in.
- Although the Girl Scout Program is volunteer-driven, there are many costs associated with it.
- The $12 membership dues go directly to the national organization, GSUSA.
Gifts from Individuals
Regular annual gifts from individuals are an essential element in funding Girl Scouting. They allow the council to plan effectively and provide unrestricted dollars which can be used for volunteer training and support, recruitment efforts, program costs and financial assistance to girls.
Program Support/Annual Giving helps us provide an exciting array of special programs and workshops for girls in this region. In addition, these gifts help us train more than 15,000 adult volunteers.
Family Partnerships link girls and their families in meaningful philanthropy.
Camperships/Scholarships allow girls who could not otherwise afford Girl Scout experiences to participate in troop, day camp and overnight camp activities.
Your employer may have a program to match contributions to not-for-profit organizations, and GSEP may be eligible. Check with your personnel department for details. Many individuals and families increase their contributions each year through matching gifts.
For individuals who wish to join the Council's Juliette Low Legacy Society with a gift to the Endowment Fund or through a bequest. For more information, contact the Director of Development at 866.564.2030, ext. 1033.
Many corporations and foundations provide grants to us to develop innovative programs and to help us achieve our goal of reaching "every girl, everywhere." Contact our Director of Institutional Giving, Denise Sullivan at 866.564.2030, ext 1036 or firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more. The annual Take The Lead Awards event is also a way that the corporate community can support Girl Scouting in this region.
