Celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg battle, one of the largest Civil War battles and one of the most haunted places in the U.S.! Sleep over at camp with girls from all around the Council, and spend Saturday in Gettysburg. Discover the experiences of young women during the 3-day siege. Visit the home of 20 year-old Jenny Wade, the only civilian killed during the battle. Find out what happened to the Shriver sisters when their family home was taken over by the Confederate soldiers. Take a guided bus tour of the battlefield and visit the cemetery. End your day with a "Ghosts of Gettysburg" candlelight tour-voted the #1 ghost tour in the world! Along the way, you'll learn about (and maybe see or hear!) local ghosts and other paranormal activity. The bus returns to camp on Saturday night. Girls need not be accompanied by an adult for this trip. All adults must have a satisfactory background check to participate in the program.
Includes accommodations, round-trip bus from camp, all activity fees, and all meals & snacks except for dinner in Gettysburg.
